Share Your Apron Story

The world of aprons starts and ends with stories. Stories of mothers and families. Stories of textile arts. Stories of cooks and makers. Stories of fashion and of artists. Stories of collectors. Stories of children. Stories of places far away and

those of home. Stories of times past

but never really gone. Stories of

bright smells and colors. Stories of

hard times, of good times, and those

times that are both. The story of

precious everyday life.

The language of aprons signifies much

about ourselves and our society, though

we rarely comprehend their

significance. The great variety of aprons

reflects the variety of our experiences

and the language we use to express

our lives.
